VAMPYR (1932)

I have no idea why this made it into the list of 1001. It is poorly written, poorly executed and the acting seems to have been the inspiration for the execrable Plan 9 From Outer Space. The vampire is named as Marguerite Chopin, but coincidentally resembles an elderly Franz Liszt. She is barely seen, but her misdeeds are mostly carried out by a series of inexplicable shadows and a doctor who could pass for Albert Einstein.

Anyway, although it's possible to piece together some kind of plot (see the Wiki entry) the editing, continuity and cinematography work to counter any kind of coherence.

This is arguably the least qualified of the films I have seen so far.
